This exercise involves using a cane to assist in raising the arm overhead while lying on your back.

Instructions

  1. 1Lie on your back with a cane in hand.
  2. 2Slowly raise the cane towards overhead.
  3. 3Use your unaffected arm to assist the movement.
  4. 4Hold the position briefly at the top.
  5. 5Lower the cane back down and repeat.

Programming Recommendations

We recommend performing 3 sets of 10 repetitions, once or twice daily unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
