This stretch targets the soleus muscle to improve flexibility and reduce tightness.

Instructions

  1. 1Stand facing a wall or sturdy object.
  2. 2Step one foot forward, keeping both toes pointed straight ahead.
  3. 3Bend the back knee while keeping the front knee bent.
  4. 4Lean forward towards the wall until a stretch is felt in the back leg.
  5. 5Adjust your distance from the wall to control the stretch.

Programming Recommendations

We recommend performing 3 sets of 10 repetitions, once or twice daily unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
