Calf Stretch With Towel - Gastrocnemius

This stretch uses a towel to enhance the stretch of the calf muscles while seated.

Instructions

  1. 1Sit comfortably with your legs extended.
  2. 2Place a towel around the ball of your foot.
  3. 3Gently pull the towel towards you while keeping your knee straight.
  4. 4Feel the stretch in your calf muscle.
  5. 5Hold the stretch for a few seconds before releasing.

Programming Recommendations

We recommend performing 3 sets of 10 repetitions, once or twice daily unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
